News and Transition
Dear Friends,
I am thrilled to announce that my new album, "Sojourn," is complete! The discs were picked up in Toronto today, and my first copies arrive in Alberta tomorrow :) It is nothing short of a miracle that everything came to fruition just before Pesach (Passover). This was the date I originally intended on releasing the CD, but it didn't look to be possible with all of the setbacks we encountered along the way. But, when our situation looks most hopeless, God comes through. I have to remind myself of that fact, time and time again, as there are often times when things seem to fall all around us. The message of my CD is one of hope and trust in Adonai....and I need to hear it just as much (if not more) than anyone! :)
Also, we are nearing the expiry of my web domain http://www.melissadittrich.com/ Interestingly enough, the domain expires on the very day that my name will change! I thought that rather funny when I received the renewal notice in the mail. Therefore, please note that this blog will be moving to:
http://www.melissadavidmusic.com/
The new blog is already live. It may undergo a few changes over the next few months; but basically, all of the posts from this blog have been transitioned to the new address. Please mark it down in your favourites!

More Previews from the Sojourn Album
Hello all!
We are drawing nearer and nearer to the release of my new album "Sojourn". It has been quite a journey...one that has challenged me, stretched me, expanded my horizons in a way I could have never imagined, and brought me much joy! And most importantly....I pray that the end result is something that brings much honour and glory to the One from whom the idea originally came -- my Abba, Adonai, the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Official Sojourn CD Release Concert
Dear Friends,
My new album is now in the mixing stages, praise Adonai! There is much to be done, but as we keep the project in prayer, I trust that it will be finished in the Lord's perfect timing and to the glory of His name.
I now have the official CD release concert booked. More details to come, including short clips from the album, video, etc!

Recent Compositions
Hi Friends,
Back in September, I had the privilege of writing some string arrangements for a friend's upcoming album. Joshua Reuben is a very talented Classical and Flamenco guitar player. His EP just became available online, and can be purchased at:

Moving Forward Into The Future
Dear Friends,
This blog has become stale once again. I have been using Facebook more recently to drop little snippets of news, as I simply don't have the time to spend writing as I once did. I am in a new and exciting season in life: embarking on a new journey of full-time ministry, travelling, and the most important news of all -- meeting the man that God has ordained to be my husband and partner in life and serving Him. The threads of the tapestry of my life have all come together for such a time as this -- and I am overwhelmed with God's goodness (and sometimes overwhelmed with the amount of change that is about to take place!)
I wish I had time to share the details of my recent adventures in this venue, but I simply have too much to focus on for the next few months -- the CD is reaching the final stages of recording and onto mixing, I have to plan concerts and promotional material, and on top of it I am now planning a wedding and a cross-country move. Can you say "hectic"? But, in God, all things are possible...as we take it second by second, minute by minute, day by day. :) So, if you see that this blog has fewer posts in the next few months, you at least now know the reason!
In the coming months, my future husband and I will be launching a website for our ministry -- at which point I will resume more regular writing of updates, meditations, and thoughts. Within that website will be included the testimony of how Dan and I met, and how the Lord called us to be together. Until then, I encourage you to keep up with updates on my Facebook page. I look forward to resuming my writing when things have slowed down, even slightly ;-)
